How is b•long different from other pilates classes?
b•long is a modern Pilates practice, which compared to traditional Pilates classes, is more intense and fat burning. The XFormer machine, combined with slow movement helps create a engaging full body workout. Modern Pilates offers fewer breaks and shorter transitions, leading to increased time under tension. Our practice focuses on the smaller, stabilizing muscles which traditional weight lifting exercises tend to neglect.

My motto is simple.. community and movement. My love for movement was almost hereditary; mom was a professional dancer, while dad was a trainer and fitness competitor. I found that even after dancing and competing in sports throughout my adolescence, I could not stop there. Later going off to dance in the NFL, I began my coaching career and have been training in this method since 2018.. Still lucky enough to get to do what I love; coach and dance.
Destined to move, one might say. However, my passion for community was built around me and has been my #1 motivator throughout my sweaty career. I have found that not far from the strongest athletes I know, as well as the most influential leaders in my life, are the most loyal communities and teammates. It's in the name and it will remain my proverb that you understand that however you show up, you uniquely belong here; and there is always a place for you in our b•long family.

Jeannine comes to us with over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry and is excited to bring her expertise to B-Long! She loves providing her clients with a deeper understanding of the technique and ensures her playlists will keep you motivated throughout the entire class. East coast raised, she's called San Diego home for 6 years and enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and cavapoo, Gary. After being a Professional NFL Cheerleader and Dancer, I found my passion for teaching fitness and helping individuals change their lives. It was during this time that I came across and fell in love with the Mega reformer. I have been a fitness instructor for 10+ years and have taught the Lagree Method, Barre method and Indoor cycling. I was a Master Instructor with cycling where I traveled/trained fellow instructors and helped open studios. I use my dance/performance background to bring excitement, energy, strength and athleticism, and overall fun to every class. Be ready to laugh and shake!!
Originally from Alabama, I moved to San Diego in 2016 on a whim and it’s been the best decision I have ever made. I love walking the beach with my rescue dogs, Rosie and Mr. Bean Dip. You can also find me cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide during football season, and I will never pass up watching Dirty Dancing.
