Coronado in the b∙long Spotlight: Geraldine
At b∙long, our community is what makes the studio feel like home. We’re starting something new where each quarter we spotlight a member who embodies the spirit of what we’re building — consistency, strength, and showing up for themselves in meaningful ways. This quarter, we’re proud to highlight Geraldine, whose energy and commitment brighten our Coronado studio every week.
If you’ve ever shared a class with Geraldine, you’ve likely noticed the warmth that radiates from her big, beautiful smile. A consistent presence in the Coronado studio, Geraldine brings an energy that reflects exactly what b∙long is all about — showing up, challenging yourself, and finding strength in the process.
Originally from Mexico, Geraldine works as an event planner and spends her days balancing creativity, organization, and connection. Outside the studio, she loves traveling, reading, watching sunsets, and discovering new Pilates studios in every city she visits. Her world revolves around family, friends, great music — and, by her own admission, a serious love of cheese.
Geraldine first discovered Pilates in 2019, but when she moved to California she had to pause her practice after struggling to find a studio nearby. That changed the moment b∙long opened its doors in Coronado. As fate would have it, her office is located in the very same building as the studio.
“I knew right away it was meant to be,” she says.
Since returning to the reformer, and nearly 300 classes later, Geraldine has found more than just a workout — she’s discovered a deeper sense of strength and self-belief.
“I feel so much stronger now,” she shares. “I’m doing things I never thought I was capable of, and it proves to me every day that my mind is just as much a part of the progress as my body.”
While she loves every class, instructors Nicole and Kelsey hold a special place in her routine. Like many members, Geraldine describes walking into the studio with a mix of excitement and curiosity — never quite knowing what the class will challenge her to do that day.
And that challenge is exactly what keeps her coming back.
For Geraldine, the b∙long experience goes far beyond movement. It’s about the feeling you get when you walk through the doors.
“Support, smiles, challenges, effort, and recognition,” she says when asked what the b∙long community means to her.
That sense of belonging is something she felt from the very beginning — starting with her first interaction with studio owner Liz.
“From my very first email with Liz, her genuine heart and passion were so clear. She brings such bright energy to the studio, and I’m so grateful for her hugs and encouragement.”
When asked to finish the sentence “I b∙long because…”, Geraldine’s answer perfectly captures the spirit of our studio.
“I love the strength I find here — both in body and mind. It’s a daily commitment to myself that I truly enjoy.”
Geraldine, we’re so grateful you’re part of the b∙long community.
